EUROVISION 2006 A total of 38 countries have confirmed their participation in the 51st of the Eurovision Song Contest which will take place in Athens on 18 and 20 May 2006. The event, to be hosted by Greek national broadcaster, ERT, will comprise two live televised contests in one week – a Semi Final and a Final – which will be broadcast live from Athens over the Eurovision network.
