Star Radio Online: International Top 40 Hits

This year’s Eurovision song contest will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany. As ever, we wonder if it’s worth doing our job and listening to all the songs and vote. But every year, we forget our disappointment of last year’s neighbor and political voting and start again!

So let us share with you our thoughts:

Big return: Italy (finally!!)
New comers: None (oops)
Absent this year: a lot ! But gladly they don’t all participate or else it will take ages to finish the voting !!
Maybe we can win again: Israel sends back Dana International, Lena (winner of last year). But we don’t think they have a winning song!
Sounds like: Paradise (Finland) sounds like Tom Dice (Belgium) from last year ! Evelina Sašenko (Lithuania) sounds like Barbara Streisand song, Eric Saadé (Sweden) sounds like another song from Eric Saadé (It’s gonna rain)!
Disappointment: disappointed by the choice of Greece, Turkey, Malta and Russia
What the heck: We have serious doubts about the following competitors: Homens Da Luta (Portugal) and Witloof Bay (Belgium). Who voted for them ? They definitely do not want to win the Eurovision contest.
Which songs are played on Star Radio: We are playing 28/43 songs (list below) on Star Radio. Some songs are more designed for the show or not in line with the music that is played on our station! We unfortunately cannot add them in our playlist.
Who can win?: depends which neighbor will get more votes ! Musically speaking here are our votes

Remark: we judge the music but we all know that it’s not only the music that is taken into consideration in Eurovison contest, so take a deep breath …
